Its integrated precision system lets users adjust slice thickness from a tissue-thin width to 9⁄16 of an inch. Its single-speed,1⁄4-horsepower motor and 9-inch-diameter chromium-plated carbon steel knife move through oversized product smoothly for streamlined operation. For consistent results, the knife motor is permanently lubricated, while a top-mounted, two-stone knife sharpener helps maintain the desired knife sharpness. To reduce mechanical pressure during product insertion, the Berkel B9-SLC gravity-feed slicer's product table is angled at 30 degrees. The meat pusher improves operator control when loading meat and cheese into the unit. Operators can turn the unit on and off via the moisture-resistant power switch, which is accompanied by a power light indicator so users can quickly identify operational status. Intended for countertop use, the unit measures 16 inches wide by 191⁄3 inches deep by 12 inches high. It's finished with stainless steel and anodized aluminum and all components can be disassembled briskly without tools for thorough cleaning.
